What if I’ve never handled a firearm before?
That’s exactly who this class is for. We specialize in helping new shooters feel safe, comfortable, and confident.
Do I need to own a gun first?
No. You can rent equipment or observe until you’re ready.
How long before I can carry?
Most students submit paperwork the same week and receive approval within 45 days.
Do I need prior experience with firearms?
No. Our Virginia CCW class is designed to be beginner-friendly. You’ll learn everything you need to feel safe, confident, and prepared.
Will this class qualify me for a Virginia CCW permit?
Yes. Upon completion, you’ll receive the training certificate required by the State of Virginia for your concealed carry application. With a Virginia CCW permit, you’ll be legally able to carry concealed in 46 states through reciprocity agreements—giving you both local peace of mind and nationwide freedom when you travel.
Do we go to the range?
Yes! Our weekend classes include a range session so you can apply what you’ve learned right away. Weekday classes are classroom-based, and we’ll schedule your range time separately at your convenience.
How long is the class?
Plan for about 3–4 hours, depending on class size and Q&A. Weekend classes may run slightly longer due to range time.
What should I bring to class?
Just a valid photo ID, something to take notes with, and a willingness to learn. If you’re joining a range session, you’ll receive instructions on what to bring or rent ahead of time.
Is the class safe for complete beginners?
Absolutely. Safety is our #1 priority. We keep classes small, beginner-focused, and never rush students.
